Up2Us Brings D.C. Youth to White House
When the White House was looking for a Sports-Based Youth Development program to invite inside, the first call was to Up2Us, the national leader of SBYD organizations. On Tuesday, March 8, youth from Washington, D.C. Up2Us member FalconsEdge Male Taskforce went to the White House to meet the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and hear President Obama speak.
The Crimson Tide, the 2010 national champions, talked to the FalconsEdge youth about the importance of staying in school and making smart choices.
While honoring the Tide, President Obama praised the team's commitment to community service and the importance of being positive role models.
Up2Us will be in touch about additional exciting opportunities for our members organizations around the countries. |
