On Wednesday, June 8th at 12:00pm ET, Up2Us Sports’ Senior National Director, External Affairs & Organizational Learning, Dr. Ahada McCummings, will be participating in this congressional briefing, which is being hosted by MENTOR and the Congressional Youth Mentoring Caucus.
Mentoring relationships have a positive impact on youth development and can prevent and help youth cope with depressive symptoms. It also supports a wide range of meaningful outcomes for young people that can positively impact their mental health, such as education, skills training/career exposure, and acceptance and identity development. Join the Congressional Youth Mentoring Caucus, MENTOR, experts, practitioners, and youth for a virtual educational briefing to learn more about the impact of quality mentoring relationships on mental health and policies that would help address the ‘mentoring gap.’
