This week, Up2Us Sports has announced the addition of Nikita Whitlock to their group of athlete ambassadors. The versatile player has been called to play on both sides of the ball and special teams for the 2011 Super Bowl champion New York Giants. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Whitlock was named the AP Texas Class 5A Defensive Player of the Year as a senior in high school. He graduated from Wake Forest University, where he was a second team All-ACC selection in 2012 and 2013 and a first team selection in 2014. On becoming an Up2Us Sports Ambassador, Whitlock says, “I’m excited to share my experience as an NFL athlete, as well as serve as a voice to help promote how powerful coaches can improve the lives of children, as my coaches did for me.” He adds, “I want to help support communities by providing long lasting access to coaches that will improve children’s lives.”
Whitlock joins teammate Prince Amukamara and New Orleans Saints legend Deuce McAllister as ambassadors from the NFL working to spread the message of Up2Us Sports and its Coach Across America program. Follow Nikita on Twitter and Instagram.
