Hoop From the Heart is a 3-on-3 charity basketball tournament established by Jennifer Kaplan and Rachel Katz in honor of their father, Jay, who they lost to heart disease in 2012. Jay loved to hoop. Basketball combined so much of what made him passionate about life - being a part of a team, staying active, and having fun. To honor his legacy, proceeds from the event will go to Up2Us Sports, a non-profit that shares those same values.
