[WATCH] Young Voices Series, Episode 3: Sports and Social Justice

Up2Us Sports' Young Voices Series is a series of one-hour virtual events in collaboration with their partner organizations, that give youth an opportunity to speak about the issues that affect them and their communities most.

On November 17, 2020, in partnership with member program Beat the Streets NYC, we hosted Episode 3: Sports and Social Justice. This was a discussion with young wrestlers from Beat the Streets NYC about the intersection of sports, social justice, and equity. Up2Us Sports Coach Unique Jones (Youth Mentoring Partnership - Philadelphia) helped moderate the panel and talked about her own experience as a wrestler.

If you missed it, watch the recording below or on on YouTube Channel.

Guests included Beat the Streets NYC athletes Carlos, Destiny, Makan-Sira and Vakramogo. Special assistance was provided by Beat the Streets NYC Youth Director Penn Gottfried.

The panel was hosted by Up2Us Sports Chief Marketing Officer, Mario Argote.
