The Up2Us Sports VISTA team hosted a September 11 Virtual Day of Service on Monday, September 9 honoring and remembering those lost and those impacted by the attacks of September 11, 2001.
The virtual Day of Service brought together the current cohort of VISTAs to Unite in Service. Each VISTA was allowed to reflect on why 9/11 is remembered as a National Day of Service and how communities coming together is an important way to honor those affected by 9/11.
Each VISTA was also given an opportunity to write a letter for Operation Gratitude and participate in a Small Acts of Kindness Challenge. This Day of Service was centered on uniting our VISTA cohort but also celebrating the small ways small acts can have a ripple effect across our communities.
