Tayquan has spent nearly his entire life in Staten Island. He was born and raised there, and he lived and breathed Staten Island. Sadly, at just 15 years old, Tayquan found himself fatherless. He was traumatized by this and didn’t know where to turn.

My name is Yahya Alasad. I am a 39-year-old Syrian man from East Ghouta near Damascus. In Syria, I played 16 years of professional soccer for the Al-Wahda Sports Club. My dream was to become a professional soccer coach after being a player for so long.
